SEVEN AND SEVEN CHALLENGE TO MAKE RACE DEBUT AT RURAL HILL’S AMAZING MAIZE MAZE OCTOBER 15

October 5, 2011

HUNTERSVILLE, NC:  Seven Kilometer Run + Seven Acre Maze = One Fun Event!  On October 15, 2011 outdoor enthusiasts and runners can take part in Rural Hill’s new Seven and Seven Challenge. The unique distance of a 7 kilometer trail run plus the mental challenge of a 7 acre corn maze will give participants the opportunity to challenge both their bodies and minds while coursing through one of Mecklenburg County's largest and most historic public properties. The race will start at 9:30 AM and finish across the "victory bridge" of Rural Hill's Amazing Maize Maze.  Complete event details and registration information can be found at www.ruralhill.net.

The Seven and Seven Challenge will travel around the course of Historic Rural Hill's Trail System, crossing fields, woodlands, and skirting Mountain Island Lake.  Then the runner will complete the seven acre Amazing Maize Maze by searching for at least 7 map pieces and 7 kernels of knowledge hidden within.  The “cornfusion” is approximately two and a half miles of pathways in a working corn field.

Registration for the Rural Hill Seven and Seven Challenge is $30 per competitor and registration may be taken at 704.895.3113, at www.ruralhill.net or on site at Historic Rural Hill. Seven and Seven T-Shirts are available for registrants while supplies last.
