BRING YOUR FLASHLIGHT
FOR FALL FUN AT THE
MOONLIGHT MAZE – SEPTEMBER 28, 2007
HUNTERSVILLE, NC: Get Lost! Bring your
flashlight and get ready to tackle the cornfield labyrinth by the light of
the moon! On September 28, the Friday night nearest to the full moon, Rural
Hill’s MOONLIGHT AMAZING MAIZE MAZE will be open for adventure.
Tickets may be purchased between 6:30 to 8 PM. Admission for this special
event is $15.00 per adult (18+) and $10.00 per youth ages 5-17.
The 2007 “Land of Liberty” themed
Amazing Maize Maze is approximately two and a
half miles of pathways in a working corn field. Moonlight
adventurers will work together to explore the paths and use the clues to
solve the puzzle to make it through the maze. According to Executive
Director Ed McLean, “With a Maze Captain and the Maze Master to help when
needed, the Amazing Maize Maze is designed to be navigated in 1-2 hours.”
Water and concessions are available on site.
Beyond the special MOONLIGHT MAZE event, The
Amazing Maize Maze is regularly open Thursday through Sunday from 10 AM – 5
PM. Admission is $10.00 per adult and $6.00 per youth ages 5-14. Tickets
may be purchased online at

Center of Scottish Heritage.
The Amazing Maize Maze is presented by The
Catawba Valley Scottish Society and The American Maze Company (as seen on
CBS Sunday Morning), and is facilitated in cooperation with Mecklenburg
County Parks & Recreation and the Town of Huntersville. Special thanks to

Rural Hill is located at 4431 Neck Road (off Beatties Ford Road)
in Huntersville, 28078. The former homestead of Major John and
Violet Davidson, the 265 acre site is maintained and promoted by The
Catawba Valley Scottish Society (CVSS). Rural Hill features
annual events such as The Lock Norman Highland Games, The Amazing
Maize Maze, The Spirit of the Hornet’s Nest (battle reenactments)
and The Rural Hill Sheepdog Trials. CVSS is a non-profit
